Hethersett Old Hall School a Touch of Gold

Whilst the sun was out I took the opportunity to walk the second of the Hethersett walks with birding highlights (old Hall School and park Farm loop). The sunshine and early flowers on the oilseed rape had brought out dozens of peacock butterflies and got the skylarks singing and chasing each other about. The full walk also had highlights of sparring pheasants, mistle thrush, bullfinches and perhaps the best of them all the yellow hammers singing like their lives depended on it (no doubt their genes do).
